Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) has unveiled the new luxury based BharatBenz caravan. Created in association with Autobahn Trucking Dealer and JCBL group, the caravan is ready to be used on the road. The inception of the caravan also showcased the brand’s support towards Kerala Tourism Department’s latest initiative- ‘Keravan Kerala’.
Features of the Luxury Camper
The caravan utilises BharatBenz’s 1017 chassis and is offered in two customisable configurations to accommodate 2-4 travellers. Convenience features on offer for the caravan include a spacious lounge area, recliner seats, and a television. To ensure a fun and comfortable travel experience, the caravan sports a kitchen area. This includes a refrigerator, microwave, induction cooktop, and custom-built storage for tableware. The brand offers the caravan with air-conditioning, double bunk beds and a restroom with a shower.

The pandemic has transformed the approach towards travelling, says the Vice President of the company. Thanks to its BS6 technology, parabolic suspension and a fuel-efficient low maintenance engine, the BharatBenz 1017 delivers the most comfortable and secure ride. DICV’s manufacturing plant at Oragadam in Tamil Nadu conducts the production of the bus’ 1624 chassis.

BharatBenz’s 1017 line-up comes in two categories: one caters to students’ transportation and the other for working professionals. With a seating capacity of 50 passengers, the BharatBenz 1017 encourages long-distance travelling thanks to the air and parabolic suspension. The 1017’s ‘B Safe Pack’ prioritises the safety of the passengers due to the inclusion of infection-proof fabric seats and a COVID recommended Safety Kit for the driver. Other safety features include anti-skid vinyl flooring, fire-proof interiors, a disinfectant fogging machine, a UV sanitiser box and an easy-access emergency door.

The newly introduced ‘BharatBenz Rewards’ loyalty program enables customers to collect points while purchasing a vehicle, spare parts, or while servicing. Customers can redeem these points to pay off future bills at any BharatBenz retail shop.
