Ather Energy announces its collaboration with the newly formed Indian Premier League Ahmedabad franchise – Gujarat Titans, as their principal partner. With this, the EV maker becomes the strategic partner starting from this season. Therefore, the brand Ather Energy will appear on the front of the Gujarat Titans’ official team jerseys. With the growing demand for EVs in the market, Ather Energy has racked up a significant number of sales in the past year. And going forward, the demand will only increase from here.
With its partnership with Gujarat Titans, Ather Energy aims to build a strong fan following across the country. This will result in faster adoption of smart and intelligent EV scooters, thus boosting the EV segment. IPL is such an event that appeals to varied ages and genders, thus engaging the entire household. This is the perfect way to make a strong impact and make an impression on a larger section of the audience.
Ather Energy’s Current Range Of Models
As of today, Ather Energy has 2 models on sale, namely 450X and 450 Plus. Both the electric scooters are selling in good numbers. Thus, to catch up with the demand, the EV maker is expanding its network at a much faster pace. The current network consists of 30 experience centres (retail outlets) across India. The target by March 2023 is to open 150 experience centres in 100 cities. The long term target, i.e. 3 years from now, Ather plans to increase its annual production capacity to one million scooters from four lakhs.
Currently, Ather Grid, as Ather likes to call its charging stations, is a network of over 300+ charging stations. This makes it the country’s one of the largest fast-charging networks for electric vehicles. For the future, Ather Energy aims to install 5,000 fast chargers across India. Alongside this, the EV maker will work to develop new products and increase its network to 600 stores.
