Ather Energy sold 2,825 EVs in January 2022

Ather Energy releases its sales report for January 2022. The EV maker sold a total of 2,825 units for the given period, thus posting a growth of 366 per cent. Due to the supply chain challenges, Ather Energy could not meet the demand. But, the company is more than prepared to take on the challenges and provide a seamless experience to the customers. Continuing to expand at a rapid pace, Ather Energy added two experience centres for the month. These have come up in Nagpur and Lucknow. The company further claimed that the expansion drive would only accelerate from here, with more coming up.

Strong Demand For Electric Scooters In The Market

Owing to the rise in the Covid cases and sentiments to not use public transport, electric scooters are in much demand. The rising fuel prices is also a major factor that is compelling customers to switch to electric mobility. There are numerous advantages linked with EVs. Firstly, they are much more cost-effective, being both easy to maintain and run, secondly the environment-friendly factor also adds value. Ather Energy is, one of the early EV makers in the country, is now getting even more popular. With the rise in demand for EVs, Ather Energy aims to capitalise on this and grab maximum market share.

But, given the lucrative demand, a host of other EV makers have entered the market, and the competition is at its best. Ather Energy currently has two offerings in its portfolio, namely Ather 450X and Ather 450 Plus. January 28 marks the anniversary of Ather 450X, which is the top-of-the-line offering. Ather Energy is keen on adding more experience centres and expanding its business in this calendar year.

As far as the charging infrastructure is concerned, Ather Energy now has 304 charging points covering over 24 cities. Ather Grid, as the company likes to calls its charging stations, plays an important role in the company’s expansion. To eliminate the range anxiety and encourage more customers to join the EV movement, a viable and robust charging infrastructure is a must.
