Skoda and Volkswagen do not have replacement cars ready yet for the Rapid and Vento respectively. So, they continue to bring to us minor refreshes on their cars time and again. Skoda has now launched the Rapid Onyx at prices starting from INR 9.75 lakh. This car comes with a few cosmetic updates.
The Rapid Onyx has been launched in Lapiz Blue and Candy White paint options. Changes on the car are listed in the image below. The Rapid remains mechanically unchanged and rivals the likes of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Toyota Yaris and Volkswagen Vento of course.
The Skoda Rapid comes powered by a 1.5L diesel motor producing 110 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque with a fuel efficiency rated at 21.72 kmpl for the DSG automatic and 21.13 kmpl for the manual version. The 1.6L petrol engine produces 105 PS of power and 153 Nm of torque delivering 15.41 kmpl mileage on the manual option and 14.84 kmpl with the automatic gearbox.
