Hyundai has officially taken the wraps off the Aura compact-sedan. This sub-4 metre product is technically a Xcent replacement for the passenger car market, but the Xcent will continue to live for the fleet market. The Hyundai Aura is based on the Grand i10 Nios and the official market launch is just a few weeks away. The brand has revealed the exterior styling of the production ready Aura sedan and even other specifications have been shared.
The Hyundai Aura will be the first sedan in the brands portfolio to sport the 1.0L, Kappa T-GDI petrol motor which is BS6 compliant. Apart from this, there will also be a new 1.2l, BS6, Ecotorq diesel engine which will offer best-in-class refinement as per diesel car standards. Hyundai will also offer the Aura in a naturally aspirated 1.2L petrol motor. There would be a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox option available for the 1.2L engines, except for the turbo-petrol which can be had only with a 5-speed MT.
Exterior features of the Hyundai Aura include smoked headlamp, projector main beam, projector fog lamp, boomerang shaped LED DRLs in the grille, LED tail lamp, 15″ diamond cut alloy wheels, sharkfin antenna, chrome door handles, gloss black C-pillar applique and matte black B-pillar tape.

Inside, the Hyundai Aura will offer a 8.0″ touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple Car play with Arkamys sound setup. There will also be a 5.3″ digital speedometer cluster with a digital MID. Other features will include wireless charging, eco coating for air conditioner system, rear AC vents, leather wrapped gear knob, etc.
