Hyundai Grand i10 30 lakh sales – A popular hatchback

Hyundai has successfully sold 20 lakh units of the Grand i10 in India and 19 lakh units exported to the global market, including 140 countries. The Grand i10 is localised up to 91.3% in India, and its international production hub is also domestic, thus helping in maintaining the cost-benefit ratio for the company.

Why is the Grand i10 popular? The primary reason behind its popularity is the spacious and quality cabin. Moreover, it is the most feature-loaded car in the hatchback segment globally.

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios

Hyundai sells the Grand i10 in India with two powertrain options: a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol and a 1.2-litre bi-fuel CNG engine. The petrol powertrain is further offered with a 5-speed MT and a 5-speed AMT transmission option, while the CNG option is available with a 5-speed MT gearbox.

With a starting price tag of Rs 4.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the Grand i10 is loaded with standard features like 6 airbags, ABS+EBD, power windows, power steering, AC, and more. Meanwhile, its top variant is equipped with advanced features, including a 20.25 cm infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and projector headlights, alloy wheels, cruise control, and more.

Due to Hyundai’s widespread service network and a reliable brand image, the Grand i10 makes a strong case against rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Swift.
