The Honda Brio is not a new name for the Indian market. It was a small hatchback that was on sale in the Indian market long back. But, Honda is retailing the Brio in the international market till now. In fact, it received its mid-lifecycle update in Indonesia, which looks quite radical. This update brings in fresh styling cues and more features. The facelifted model continues with the same iVTEC powertrain and sporty-looking RS trim.
Exterior Outlook Highlights
Talking of the exteriors, the Honda Brio carries forward its cute front look. There are some subtle visual updates focused on the front end. The talk worthy is the redesigned bumper that has a larger grille combined with more modern and interconnected lower intakes. The RS trim now features a special pattern on the grille and a dark finish for the chrome strip. It also benefits from new LED headlights.
Other than this, the rest of the exterior remains the same. But we do see a slightly different diffuser and darker taillights of the RS. The latter rides on 15-inch alloys, while the regular model gets a smaller set of 14-inch wheels. Honda did expand the colour options with this update. The hatchback is now available with Stellar Diamond Pearl, Electric Lime Metallic, and Meteoroid Gray Metallic, next to new bi-tone options.
Changes To The Interiors
Talking of the interiors we see changes for the dashboard and the seats. Additionally, the flagship RS trim now gets a red push-button start/stop. It also benefits from a revised analogue instrument cluster with a small display, an illuminated shifter, and a new 7-inch infotainment touchscreen compatible both with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Engine Options
Engine options remain the same, which is the naturally aspirated 1.2-litre iVTEC four-cylinder petrol engine. This unit makes 89 HP (66 kW / 90 PS) and 110 Nm (81 lb-ft) of torque. This is a front-wheel drive car, engine matched to either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic.
Honda Brio Facelift Price Range
The facelifted Honda Brio is currently available in Indonesia. It retails in the price range between Indonesian rupiah $11,278-16,580 based on the variant.
