Much loved, but still very rare out on the streets, the refreshed Honda 650s have arrived in the Indian market. Honda has launched the recently refreshed CB650R & CBR650R in India at a price of INR 9.20 Lakh & INR 9.99 Lakh ex-showroom, respectively. What makes these bikes unique is the 4-cylinder engine configuration, and at this price tag.

New Honda CB650R:

With the revised Neo Sports Cafe design language, the Honda CB650R is possibly the most good looking and non-polarising motorcycle in the price & specification segment. It is equipped with features such as an almost round LED headlamp, LED tail lamp, LED turn signals, sculpted petrol tank with shrouds, body frame which is exposed, gorgeous looking exposed exhaust headers, single-piece seat, contrasting multi-tone colour theme, alloy wheels, 5.0” TFT colour display speedometer cluster with smartphone compatibility & navigation, 310mm dual front floating disc brakes, 240mm rear disc, dual channel ABS, etc.

Powering the Honda CB650R is a 649cc, in-line, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled petrol motor producing 70 kW of peak power @ 12000 RPM and 63 Nm of peak torque at 9500 RPM matched to a 6-speed gearbox coupled with a slipper assist clutch. The bike rides on a Showa SFF-BP USD front fork and a preload adjustable rear monoshock.

New Honda CBR650R:

Honda’s CBR650R rivals the likes of the Triumph Daytona 660, and pricing is in the same ballpark. Honda’s CBR650R is a middle-weight fully-faired sportbike with slightly relaxed ergonomics for long distance touring, but in sporty style. Features include fully faired body, striking body graphics, dual LED head lamps, LED tail lamps & turn signals, 5.0” colour TFT speedometer cluster with bluetooth connectivity, aerodynamic body profile, under belly exhaust, 41mm USD Showa SFF BP forks, rear monoshock, 310mm dual front disc brakes, dual channel ABS, etc.

Powering the new Honda CBR650R is a 649cc, in-line-4-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor producing 70 kW of max power @ 12000 RPM and 63 Nm of peak torque at 9500 RPM matched to a 6-speed gearbox mated to an assist and slipper clutch. Honda is also offering the HSTC traction control feature with this motorcycle.

CB650R & CBR650R Colours & Deliveries:

Honda BigWing dealerships will start accepting bookings now, and the deliveries will begin from February 2025. As seen in the images below, the CB650R is a naked modern roadster motorcycle while the CBR650R is a fully-faired sports tourer.

The CB650R is available in a candy red & a matte gunpowder black colour option. The CBR650R on the other hand is available in grand prix red & matte gunpowder black.
