Ducati Panigale V4 S Lenovo Race of Champions version sold-out

Written by Rohit Tonapi

The Panigale V4 S bikes that Ducati riders raced at the Lenovo Race of Champions on Saturday of World Ducati Week 2022 were recently put on sale. The sale started online in the afternoon of Monday, 25th July 2022. And unsurprisingly, Ducati sold all of them in a few hours.

All of these Ducati Panigale V4 S bikes were also unique examples. Ducati customised them with the rider’s racing liveries. To make them even special, they even came with a laser engraving of the rider’s logo with the name of each of them on the triple clamp. The Italian brand prioritised the most enthusiastic Ducati customers globally for the reserved online sale.

The Sale As It Happened

The sale started on 25th July 2022 afternoon. Ducati reserved it for the brand’s best enthusiastic customers. These customers were able to access the digital platform to buy their idol’s bike. In the first few minutes after opening the system, Ducati sold Jack Miller’s number 43 bike. Next was the winner of the race, Pecco Bagnaia and his number 63 bike. The third bike Ducati sold was Johann Zarco’s number 05 bike. In the following hours, all the others were sold as well.

Ducati Panigale V4 S – Overview

The Panigale V4 is the Italian brand’s flagship superbike. There are also other flashier and more equipped versions as well, but the base remains the same. All of them also use a 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine. However, the Panigale V4 R is an exception. The engine delivers 215.5 HP of power and 123.6 Nm of torque. The bike also delivers 80 per cent of its total torque from 6,000 rpm onwards. Thus, offering a wide powerband. The Panigale V4 S comes with a lithium-ion battery and Marchesini forged aluminium alloy wheels. The major addition to the V4 S is the Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 electronic suspension system. The front uses 43 mm Ohlins NPX25/30 forks, while the rear uses an Ohlins TTX36 shock.
