Hyderabad-based electric mobility brand DAO EV Tech has introduced four electric scooters in the Indian market. The product range includes modern daily commuters as well as a commercial last-mile delivery scooter. Dao EV Tech’s range includes – Dao Model 703, Vidyut 106, Vidyut 108 and Zor 405.
Dao’s Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) Battery Technology
The brand boasts the use of Lithium-Ferro-Phosphate battery packs in its entire product range. The technology is currently in use in the four-wheeler segment, but Dao’s engineering team has successfully incorporated LFP battery technology in their electric scooters. The founding partner of the company developed the new battery tech at the lab of Stanford University. The founder also used to work at Tesla, where the technology progressed further.
According to Dao, it has specially developed the battery powering the scooters keeping in mind the Indian climatic conditions. The brand also offers a 3-year warranty on all Dao batteries with a further 3-year extended warranty at the time of purchase.
Dao Model 703 Electric Scooter
The Model 703 features a futuristic electric scooter design language, with a 72V/3500W BLDC electric motor mounted in the wheel hub. The motor draws power from a 72V/30Ah LFP battery pack that offers 100 km of range. The power unit is also capable of propelling the scooter to a top speed of 70 kmph. Also, the electric scooter features 12-inch alloy wheels, disc brakes on both ends and telescopic forks on the front for suspension duties. The scooter also comes with all-LED lighting and comes with a 10 Amp charger on board.
Dao Vidyut 106 electric scooter
The Vidyut 106 electric scooter features a 60V/250W BLDC electric motor. The motor draws power from a 60V 15Ah/23Ah LFP battery pack that can deliver a range of 80 km on a single charge and a top speed of 25 kmph. The scooter comes with bulb type lighting, 12-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, hydraulic suspension, digital instruments cluster and a 4.6 Ampere charger.
Dao Vidyut 108 electric scooter
The Dao Vidyut 108 electric scooter features the same electric powertrain as the Vidyut 106. The scooter features the same electric range and top speed. But the top hat is entirely different, and the scooter features a contemporary design compared to the 106. The Vidyut 108 also gets all-LED lighting.
Dao Zor 405
The Dao Zor 405 is an electric-powered last-mile delivery vehicle with the same powertrain as the Vidyut 106 and 108 electric scooters. But the e-scooter features a multi-functional rear seat with a large luggage rack, a reinforced front basket, double rear shock absorbers, robust front shock absorbers, high ground clearance but lo centre of gravity, digital instrument, LED headlamps and a lot more.
