In an exquisite event held on 31 July at the picturesque Lake Maggiore in Stresa, Italy, Maserati unveiled and delivered two extraordinary vehicles: the Quattroporte Grand Finale and the MC20 Iris.
Quattroporte Grand Finale: The End of an Era
The Quattroporte Grand Finale marks a significant moment in Maserati’s history, being the last model to feature the iconic V8 combustion engine. This luxurious saloon has been a symbol of Maserati’s excellence for six generations, and the Grand Finale serves as a grand farewell to an era of powerful, combustion-driven performance.
The exterior of the Quattroporte Grand Finale is finished in the elegant Blu Nobile color, complemented by a carbon fiber body kit painted to match. Brushed aluminum brake calipers add a subtle yet sophisticated touch. The vehicle’s identification number, 999999, is discreetly imprinted on the windscreen and inside the driver’s door, signifying its unique place in Maserati’s legacy.
Under the hood lies the heart of this masterpiece: a 572-horsepower V8 engine, renowned for its power and performance. The engine cover, bearing the signatures of the Fuoriserie team and engineers, adds a personal touch, celebrating the craftsmanship and expertise behind this final V8-powered Quattroporte.
MC20 Iris: A Celebration of Color and Innovation
The MC20 Iris is a stunning representation of Maserati’s innovative spirit and commitment to customization. Inspired by the colors of the rainbow—symbolized by the term “iris” in Latin—the MC20 Iris is a vibrant and futuristic super sports car. The AI Aqua Rainbow color dominates its exterior, providing a striking and distinctive look. This unique hue also appears on the Trident logo, prominently displayed in the center of the hubcaps, emphasizing the car’s bold stylistic personality.
Inside the MC20 Iris, the theme continues with AI Aqua Rainbow stitching on the armrest, central tunnel, and steering wheel. The use of ICE leather for the central tunnel, a first for Maserati, adds an element of exclusivity. The ‘+’ and ‘-‘ signs on the steering wheel paddles are also rendered in the same vivid color, as is the viewfinder on the upper rim of the steering wheel.
