Celebi India has introduced an all-electric air conditioned tarmac bus for airports in India. The bus is named ECO-LIFE E12 and twelve units of the same have been deployed at the Delhi International Airport. The tarmac bus ferries passengers from the terminal to the air crafts parked at remote stands.
The bus has been designed for maximum comfort of air passengers. It also gets a plug-in lithium ion battery with fast charging capability. The buses run on efficient PSPM electric motors with a silent as well. The buses are constructed using high-strength monocoque structures with long durability.
The Government of India has also decided to reduce the carbon emissions in the aviation sector. To this effect, companies like Celebi are offering green solutions to the airports. The company has also implemented solutions like Taxi bots, bridge-mounted equipment in the past.
Other features on the bus include wheelchair ramp as well as a designated docking space for the wheelchair, intelligent transportation system, CCTV camera, USB mobile charging socket, Emergency Stop buttons and more.
Celebi across the aviation sector
Back in 2019, Celebi first introduced Taxi Bots in India. Thanks to this, Air India because the first commercial air liner in the world to make use of Taxi Bots. These Bots helps reduce fuel consumption by 85% by towing narrow-bodied aircraft, from the terminal to the take off point. Not just that, they also help reduce the risk of foreign object damage by 50%.
Celebi has also installed bridge-mounted equipment (BME) that reduced CO2 emission by 80-85% along with a decline in noise pollution as well. The BME provides cooling and power to the aircrafts when parked. This is implemented at the Delhi and Mumbai Airports.
Apart from this, Celebi also handles ground handling operations at Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Cochin, Ahmedabad, Kannur and others.
