After months of testing, the semi-faired version of the Bajaj Discover has been spotted at a dealership. The bike spotted is in its production ready avatar, without any camouflage and seems to have been showcased to create a buzz and attract customers.
Styling seen in the pictures suggest that this motorcycle will be pitched against the Honda Stunner and the Hero Ignitor. The bike is equipped with a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear. A monoshock suspension setup at the rear, raised handlebar to enhance touring capability (no clip-on handlebar) and a commuter centric toe & heel gear shifter. The bike gets some body decals and the Discover branding on the tank. A single piece, long flat seat, 5×2 spoke alloy wheels, half tyre hugger and a saree guard also make it to this semi-faired offering.
The bike is rumoured to be named as the Discover 150F. It will be powered by a new 150cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, twin-spark engine coupled with a 5-speed gearbox. Power figures are expected to be a notch below the Pulsar 150.
For those who are looking at just form over function, the Discover 150F might look a little quirky. But for those who are tight on the budget, and want something that looks a little premium than the regular commuter motorcycles, the Discover 150F might make the cut.
