The flagship firm from the Hinduja Group, Ashok Leyland has received an order worth Rs. 1,500 crore from state transport undertaking. A total of 22 STUs across the country have placed a large order Ashok Leyland buses.
JanBus will contribute over 2,000 buses to JNNURM-II. Ashok Leyland will proivde a mix of JanBus, midi-buses and ultra low entry buses as a part of the 4,000 bus order that it has received.
JanBus is a front engined, single step entry, full flat floor bus designed for urban transport.
