Ashok Leyland recently announced the launch of the ecomet STAR 1815 truck in the 17.5 T GVW category. The company claims the best-in-class payload capacity and superior mileage with the truck. The truck will best suit long-haul customers seeking a higher payload with a 4-cylinder engine. With the increase in demand for logistics in e-commerce, Parcel, Agri- Perishable, Cement, and Industrial application ecomet STAR 1815 truck is the answer.
Key Highlighting Features
The truck gets the Best-in-class Payload of 11.74T (20ft HSD). The equipped engine is the H Series unit that makes 150Hp and 450 Nm torque. Meanwhile, the equipped tyres are of the 295/90 R20 Tube specifications. Customers will have 5 loading span options, 20ft /22ft /24ft (with Day cabin) and 20ft/22ft (with Sleeper cabin). The use of an HSS (High Strength Steel) frame (7mm thick) makes the truck quite robust.
For the driver, they can now also enjoy the New digital dashboard with Advanced Digital Driver Assist (ADDA). Alongside this, the in-cabin experience also offers a spacious and sturdy build. The truck is now also available with the new white colour cabin. Customers will also appreciate the Advanced telematics (i-Alert). Furthermore, the remote diagnostics with 24×7 customer assistance through Uptime Solution Centre is also a great addition.

With the growing demand for CNG-powered trucks, Ashok Leyland has launched the ecomet STAR 1115 CNG truck. Using a 144 HP turbocharged engine, this truck gets CNG Cylinder capacity ranging from 360L to 480L, thus ensuring the best-in-class single-fill range. To attract a wide range of customers, the STAR 1115 CNG truck gets multiple CNG cylinder options. These are in the form of 360L/ 450 L/ 480 L.
Expanding its mark in the new segments, Ashok Leyland recently introduced the industry’s first 8-wheeler truck – AVTR 2620. The company is now the first and only one in India to offer a full range of trucks with lift axle technology from GVW of 25.5 to 47.5 tonnes.
