MG ZS EV getting more than 1,000 bookings per month

As per the recent sales report, Morris Garages sold a total of 4,503 units for June 2022. This figure results in a growth of 27 per cent when compared to the same period last year. One of the key highlights from June 2022 was the MG’s all-new ZS EV, recording sales of more than 5,000 cars since its launch. With the increase in demand for electric vehicles, ZS EV has also been receiving 1,000 bookings per month on average. This also indicates the growing adoption of electric vehicles in the country. Under the new initiative of MG’s #ChangeWhatYouCan, the carmaker is driving a positive societal change to environmental conservation through EV adoption.

2022 MG ZS EV – Brief Overview

As a part of the update, the new ZS EV gets the largest in-segment 50.3 kWh battery. With this, MG claims a certified range of 461 km in a single charge. This equipped battery has passed 8 special safety tests, including fire, collision, dust, smoke, etc. In terms of design and aesthetics, the ZS EV has retained its basic profile.

The electric SUV gets some updated parts, like the reworked front grille and some minor changes in the rear profile. Being an MG, we expect a long list of features, and the 2022 ZS EV does not disappoint us. Some of its highlighting features include Dual Pane Panoramic Sunroof, Digital Bluetooth Key, Rear Drive Assist, 360-degree Camera, i-SMART with 75+ Connected Car features, Hill Descent Control and much more.

Charging Infrastructure

MG Motor is a strong player in the EV market. The carmaker has also been a top contributor in developing the charging infrastructure. The brand recently launched ‘MG Charge’. As a part of this, residential areas will get 1000 AC fast chargers. The company has also formed various collaborations to prioritise the setting up of EV charging stations. Currently, MG extends its customers a 5-way charging ecosystem. This includes free-of-cost AC fast-chargers at residences /offices, portable in-car charging cable, DC superfast charging stations at dealerships, 24×7 charge-on-the-go facility (in 5 cities), and charging stations in satellite cities and tourist hubs.
