Ashok Leyland announces the launch of new AVTR tipper models, namely, AVTR 2832 and AVTR 3532. Both the trucks get an 8.0L AG series engine with iGEN6 technology. The performance output of the truck stands at 320HP of power and 1200 Nm of torque. The company claims that this indigenously made engine delivers the utmost torque, acceleration and fuel efficiency.
Furthermore, the AVTR range has always been known for its performance, reliability and durability. And these two models will also aim to carry forward the legacy. The current portfolio of AVTR includes trucks with H6 and A4 engines. But with the need for more powerful vehicles to tackle the steep gradient in coal mines, compelled Ashok Leyland to come up with these models. Both these trucks are suitable for a range of applications. This includes road construction, irrigation, deep mining, boulder quarry and others.
Key Highlights
Ashok Leyland talks highly about the Heavy-duty hub reduction rear axle with a 7.2:1 deeper ratio. This ensures superior torque at wheels for higher gradeability and faster turnaround time. Furthermore, the new heavy-duty suspension equipped with higher diameter U-bolts allows severe articulation off-road. The use of high tensile strength of 1250 MPa material helps in withstanding the shock loads when heavy rocks are dumped from heights. In terms of safety, the A6 engine gets the feature of engine feature. This ensures excellent retarding power in steep downhill operations with a heavy load.
The truck also gets an anti-roll bar that helps in improving stability and safety. Other key inclusions are a 10 bar pressure brake system, stabilizer in the load body and more. One of the key areas where Ashok Leyland has worked the most is decreasing maintenance. The trucks come with a 1000 hours oil change interval and a 3000 hours oil change interval.
