Triumph launches Rocket 3 GT 221 Special Edition at INR 21,40,000

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Triumph Motorcycles has launched a series of special and gold edition motorcycles for the Indian market. This takes the total count of Triumph motorcycles models in India to 27. The Rocket 3GT 221 is one of the offerings launched by Triumph as a special edition. The motorcycle confirmed that this special edition would go on sale only for a year.

What’s Special In The Limited Order Model?

Starting from the paint shade, the special edition model gets special touches. The use of Sapphire Black in the mudguard brackets, headlight bowls, flyscreens, side panels, radiator cowls and rear bodywork perfectly contrast with a Red Hopper tank body shade. Further attenuating the bodywork is the subtle tank-tp graphics that inscribe all of Rocket’s exceptional performance numbers. Other signature elements include distinctive twin headlights with sculpted 3 header exhaust, cleverly placed pillion footrest and more.

Mechanicals And Powertrain

Powering the motorcycle is a 2,458 cc triple engine that makes 221 Nm and 167 PS. If you are wondering, yes, 221 Nm is from where the motorcycle gets its name. And also, this figure is the world’s highest peak torque for any motorcycle. The equipped gearbox is a six-speed helical-cut gearbox along with a torque-assist hydraulic clutch. This makes riding the motorcycle so much fun and easy.

The suspension setup consists of a fully adjustable Showa mono-shock rear suspension unit with piggy-back reservoir and 47mm upside-down Showa cartridge front forks. Riding on 20-spoke wheels with Avon Cobra Chrome tyres enhance the grip greatly. Further aiding the rider is three horizontal sitting positions. Furthermore, the rider can also opt for either a single seat or twin seat configuration. The fuel capacity of 18-litre is more than adequate for long-distance touring.

Tech And Accessories

Being a Triumph, customers will have no room for complaint. The motorcycle comes loaded with features. In the safety department, riders get the support of cornering ABS and traction control, four riding modes in form of Road, Rain, Sport and Rider-configurable, all-LED lighting, and more. Other key features include hill hold control, cruise control, keyless ignition and keyless steering lock, and an under-seat USB charging socket. Exclusively for the GT trim, riders will also get heated grips as standard fitment.

In terms of accessories, customers will have over 50+ options to choose from. This includes the Triumph Shift Assist up and down quick shifter, a comfortable seat and a sports screen, a tyre pressure monitoring system, plus tracking and alarm systems. To provide peace of mind, Triumph is offering a two-year unlimited warranty with all the accessories, same as with the motorcycle.s
