Simple Energy, one of India’s foremost electric vehicle (EV) and clean energy start-ups, has announced the inauguration of six new experience stores, branded as ‘Simple Stores.’ These outlets, set to open over the next month, mark a significant milestone in the company’s phased expansion plan.

The ‘Simple Store’ Concept

The Simple Stores are more than just conventional showrooms; they are immersive experience centres meticulously designed to embody the ethos of innovation and sustainability that defines Simple Energy. These brick-and-mortar stores, operated by Simple Energy’s official network partners, are tailored to provide an experiential journey, where customers can engage with the brand’s offerings and values.

The stores will allow visitors to interact with the company’s flagship models—the Simple One and Simple Dot One—while experiencing the technological advancements and sustainability efforts that set Simple Energy apart in the competitive EV landscape

The first phase of this retail expansion will see stores opening in key urban markets across India, strategically chosen to maximize outreach and accessibility. The rollout schedule is as follows:

  • Veterinary Colony, Vijayawada – 25th August 2024
  • JP Nagar, Bengaluru – 29th August 2024
  • Rajajinagar, Bengaluru – 31st August 2024

These locations are selected to serve both metropolitan and emerging markets.

The company’s flagship product, the Simple One, boasts an certified range of 212 kilometers, positioning it as the longest-range electric scooter in India. Alongside it, the Simple Dot One offers a 151 kilometers of certified range, catering to a broader spectrum of urban commuters.

Future Prospects

With the opening of these six stores, Simple Energy is poised to scale its operations significantly. Currently, the company is in a pilot phase in Bangalore, where it has begun deliveries of its electric scooters. The addition of these experience centres will undoubtedly bolster its market presence and facilitate the planned opening of 45 dealership stores by the end of the current financial year.
