Ford is planning to make a comeback in the Indian market. The brand could be planning to introduce the Ford Everest and the Ford Ranger pick-up upon its reentry. According to reports, the brand has already imported the Everest and Ranger in India through the Chennai port. Yesterday we saw the Ranger as well as the Everest being transported on a flatbed.
The brand could be currently importing the SUVs in the Indian market to test the demand and gauge waters. The Ford Everest which is also known as the Endeavour in some markets including India is likely to compete with the Toyota Fortuner and MG Gloster. On the other hand, the Ford Ranger which shares the platform with the Everest/Endeavour will lock horns with the Isuzu DMAX V-Cross and the Toyota Hilux.
