300cc Hero MotoCorp motorcycles going through endurance testing

Hero MotoCorp enjoys success with its budget commuter offerings, though it is not the same case at the other end of the spectrum. Hero’s only premium offerings are the XPulse 200, XPulse 200T and Xtreme 200S. The company does sell a good amount of XPulse 200 / 200 4V and is doing well in the market. However, the same can’t be said about the two other 200cc offerings.

Now, to continue the success story of the Impulse 150 and XPulse 200, Hero will be introducing the new 300cc version of its adventure motorcycle. The 300cc platform will also spawn a road-biased 300T and fully-faired Xtreme 300S.

Hero is on track and has already started road testing all three motorcycles. The first spy shots of these emerged recently, and now we have some more. This also shows Hero is continuing to test them and possibly further refining them before its launch. In fact, the brand is also testing the fully-faired version in the hilly regions of North India.

Hero’s 300cc Trio Continue Testing – What Do We See?

The first spy shot that came in only showed the 300cc off-roader. However, later on, it was spied along with the dual-sport and the fully-faired version. We now have new spy shots that show all three together once again.

Firstly, we have the much-awaited XPulse 300. The off-roader will grow in size compared to the XPulse 200. There will also be additional luggage mounting points on the bike. Also, unlike the XPulse 200, it gets split seats. It gets long-travel upside-down forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The spy shot also shows what looks like a radially-mounted front brake calliper.

Next up is the dual-sport XPulse 300T. The model will get a bikini fairing and a small beak. Compared to the XPulse 200T, the major difference will be the wheels. This is because, unlike the XPulse 200T, the XPulse 300T will use wire-spoke wheels. It will also get block-pattern dual-sport tyres that are wider than the XPulse 300. The exhaust on the XPulse 300T also looks to be shorter than its off-roader counterpart.

Lastly, we have the Xtreme 300S. Visually, the 300cc fully-faired motorcycle looks much bulkier compared to the Xtreme 200S. The model looks more like a successor of the Karizma ZMR. However, it does not look disproportionate like the Karizma ZMR. It is the only model out of the 300cc Hero trio to get alloy wheels. Though not clearly visible, it seems to be using MRF Zapper tyres like the Xtreme 200S.
