2025 BMW iX facelift revealed; gets more power and range

BMW has officially revealed the new iX model globally. It is scheduled to launch in March 2025 in the global markets. The new model gets styling and cabin updates along with bigger battery packs and more driving range. Read all the details below.

2025 BMW iX – what has changed?

The new iX model now gets a refreshed design with a new front grille, new alloy wheels, and new side skirts. The M-Sport variants also get the option of 21- and 22-inch alloy wheels, while the iX M70 can be had with 23-inch wheels as well. On the inside, it now gets a new steering wheel and redesigned seats with M multi-function adjustment for better comfort.

Crucial feature highlights of the new iX include heated seats, a connected screen panel, a Harman Kardon music system, automatic soft-close doors, a panoramic sunroof, a head-up display and more.

A major change has been made to the powertrain options on the iX. It now gets an AWD system standard across all three variants – xDrive45, xDrive60, and M70. Moreover, the xDrive45 now gets a 94.8kWh battery that makes 396.5bhp and 700Nm of peak power and torque. It is 80bhp and 70Nm more than the outgoing model.

The xDrive60 now features a 109.1kWh battery that makes 529bhp and 765Nm of peak power and torque; making it 13bhp more powerful than the old model. Meanwhile, the M70 now gets a 108.9kWh battery that makes 650bhp and 1,100Nm with launch control. It is 49bhp more than the outgoing model.

The maximum range is achieved by the xDrive60 which stands at a claimed 701km, while the M70 can do up to 602km per charge.

BMW plans to launch the new iX in Europe by March, while global markets like India will witness its debut by the spring season.
