Last year, the next generation KTM Duke was spotted in Europe. And now, we are seeing spy shots of the new 2023 KTM 390 Duke for the first time in India. What this also means is that the bike is getting production-ready and that we won’t have to wait too long.

As the 2023 KTM Duke will be a new generation, it will bring in major changes. These changes will be for both aesthetics and mechanical. The naked street motorcycle will likely make its international debut before the year ends. However, India will likely get it in the first half of next year.

2023 All-New KTM 390 Duke Spy Shots – What Do We See?

The aesthetics of the motorcycle get a major overhaul. The new styling clearly draws its inspiration from its bigger sibling, the 1290 Super Duke. To start with, the headlight gets a new design with a thicker bezel around it. Near the fuel-tank area, you also get to see longer tank shrouds, which also have a sharper design.

The instrument console of the bike will likely get an update too. The size will most likely stay the same. However, there will be changes to the layout and interface, similar to the bigger Dukes. According to the source, a part of the instrument cluster has a mask. Hence, there is a chance it could come with turn-by-turn navigation which is a norm these days.

KTM isn’t limiting the changes to the bodywork and instrument cluster. The bigger changes will be the mechanicals of the new generation 390 Duke. What is instantly noticeable is an updated cast aluminium subframe. Additionally, there will also be a completely new asymmetrical aluminium swingarm. Mounted onto the swingarm will be a new offset-mounted monoshock, which is clearly visible. First seen on the new RC 390, the Duke will also use the latest, lighter alloy rims. The single front disc setup also moves from the left to the right side.

The engine casing of the new 390 Duke is also visibly different from the current one. We also see a catalytic converter that’s bigger and closer to the outlet. The engine also uses new aluminium brackets to hang on to the steel trellis frame.
