French automotive giant Citroen has pulled the covers off its new facelifted C5 Aircross SUV for international markets. The 2022 C5 Aircross facelift marks some significant design changes in a bid to make it look more attractive. Citroen launched the pre-facelift version of the C5 Aircross SUV as their first-ever product for India in April 2021. However, the automaker has not confirmed or made any statements about its plans of introducing the facelift in India.
2022 Citroen C5 Aircross facelift: Design Details
The changes on the new C5 Aircross begin at the front, where the SUV sports a new Citroen logo. Along with a new front grille that connects to the central logo, the C5 Aircross sports new V-shaped LED DRLs. The new LED DRLs also provide a hi-tech 3D effect to the front LED headlamps, highlighting the SUV’s stance. The front of the 2022 C5 Aircross also sports stylish yet functional air curtains on either side of the front bumper.
Additionally, the new SUV also showcases a high and horizontal bonnet with a chrome ‘C’-shaped panel along the windows. Along with the floating roofline, the facelifted C5 Aircross also gets new 18-inch diamond-cut ‘Pulsar’ alloy wheels and gloss-black ORVMs. With no changes to the rear, the SUV sports new gloss-black roof bars with new matt black inserts. The new C5 Aircross sports 6 colours- Polar White, Pearlescent White, Perla Nera Black, Platinum Grey, Cumulus Grey, and Eclipse Blue.
2022 Citroen C5 Aircross facelift: Interiors & Features
Citroen has equipped the C5 Aircross facelift with a brand new 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system to improve convenience and ergonomics. The positioning of the new screen allows the driver or the passenger to directly access the climate control functions. Additionally, the new C5 Aircross also gets a fully-customizable 12.3-inch digital driver’s display which contains valuable driver-centric information. The cabin of the facelifted C5 Aircross now features Advanced Comfort seats which sport high-density foam for enhanced comfort.
Citroen has also ensured to modernize the center console by adding a black leather-effect material with chrome touches. The interior of the C5 Aircross also gets a new e-Toggle gear selector and a large storage compartment. In terms of safety, the SUV offers 19 driver-assistance systems, including Highway Driver Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control. Other features of the new C5 Aircross included 2 USB-port, a wireless charger, and an Active Lane Departure Warning system.
