Mahindra at the beginning of 2019 stirred the compact SUV segment by launching the Mahindra XUV300 to rival the likes of Hyundai Venue, Ford EcoSport, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra TUV300, Tata Nexon, etc. The XUV300 only came with a manual transmission option but owing to demand the brand introduced the AMT automatic version of the XUV300 in the diesel engine option. Powertrain
Now the AutoSHIFT (AMT) transmission is also available on the turbocharged-petrol version of the SUV. The Mahindra XUV300 turbo-petrol AutoSHIFT is now priced starting at INR 9.95 lakh ex-showroom. The AMT gearbox is available from the W6 trim which also gets an electric sunroof. Powering the XUV300 Petrol AutoSHIFT is a 1.2-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol unit producing 110 BHP of power and 200 Nm of torque coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a new AutoSHIFT AMT gearbox.
AMT – Automated Manual Transmission
Mahindra has sourced the AMT unit from Italian automotive component developer Marelli. The AutoSHIFT AMT gearbox also comes with features such as Creep Function, Creep Disable on Door Opening, Drive and Reverse Lock-Out for safety, Adaptive Pedal Response, Kick-Down Shift, Hill Start Assist, Electronic Stability Control and two modes – Auto and Manual.
BlueSense
The brand has also added a new premium feature on the infotainment system called BlueSense Plus available in the top-of-the-line-trim. BlueSense Plus is a connected car feature that equips the user to Remotely Lock or Unlock the door, Find My XUV300, live tracking, Share Vehicle Location, Unauthorized Vehicle Access Alert, Geo-Fencing, Turn-by-turn Navigation, Save Places & Routes, In-car AC Controls, Check AC Information, Low Fuel Alert, Door Open Alert, High Engine Temperature Alert, Tyre Pressure Alert, My Car Info, Trip Summary, PUC Expiry Insurance Expiry etc.
