LIVE! Mahindra launches XUV300 compact-SUV for INR 7.90 Lakh

Mahindra has today officially launched the XUV300 compact-SUV in India. Yes, the XUV300 is based on the SsangYong Tivoli which is sold globally, but has been completely reworked for the Indian market. And also, the engines used in the XUV300 are completely owned & developed by Mahindra.

The Mahindra XUV300 has been priced at INR 7.90 lakh onwards (ex-showroom). The XUV300 is a fully-loaded product from Mahindra, possibly their best effort yet.

Petrol

  • XUV300 W4- INR 7.90 lakh
  • XUV300 W6- INR 8.75 lakh
  • XUV300 W8- INR 10.25 lakh

Diesel

  • XUV300 W4- INR 8.49 lakh
  • XUV300 W6- INR 9.30 lakh
  • XUV300 W8- INR 10.80 lakh

Powering the XUV300 is a 1.2L turbocharged petrol engine producing 110 BHP of power @ 5000 RPM and 200 Nm of torque between 2000-3500 RPM matched to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The XUV300 diesel gets a 1.5L turbocharged block producing 115 BHP of power @ 3750 RPM and 300 Nm of torque @ 1500-2500 RPM matched to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

There is no automatic / AMT gearbox on offer at the moment.

The XUV300 comes with 8 features which none of the competing cars offer. This includes: Best-in-class torque, Smart Steering System, All 4 disc brakes, 7 airbags, heated ORVM, dual zone climate control AC, front parking sensors, seat belt reminder for all passengers.

The XUV300 comes with all the latest bells and whistles which includes projector headlamps, LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, fog lamps, alloy wheels, leather upholstery, power steering, climate control, sunroof, dual tone paint scheme, turn indicators on ORVMs, touchscreen infotainment, and more…

The XUV300 comes with the best-in-class all-four disc brakes, ISOFIX, 7-airbags, ABS with EBD, hill start assist, traction control, ESP, rollover mitigation, and more. Hence, it is safe, Mahindra claims a total of 25 safety features to talk about.

The Mahindra XUV300 compact-SUV rivals the likes of Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and also the Mahindra TUV300.
