Tata Motors India has silently updated the Tata Tiago and given the popular hatchback with a mild interior refresh. The new Tiago now comes with redesigned door pulls with integrated locks and slightly redesigned door pads with the power window switches set on a slight angle. In addition to the refreshed door pads and the interior door handles the Tiago also features the steering wheel from the Tata Altroz premium hatchback.
The 2020 Tata Tiago features a premium dual-tone interior theme with a multilayered dashboard with body-colour matching accents around the air-con vents, dual-tone upholstery with tri-arrow design, flat-bottomed steering wheel with controls, a fully digital instruments cluster, automatic climate control with rotary controls, a centrally mounted 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system from Harman, 8-speaker surround sound system, Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, cooled glovebox with tablet storage space, reverse camera, intelligent storage spots etc.
On the outside, the Tata Tiago comes with a chrome-accented radiator grille, sweptback headlamp units that integrate with the grille, new fog lamps black-finished, ORVMs and mild updates to the tail lamps. The Tata Tiago is offered in six colour options Flame Red, Pearlescent White, Victory Yellow, Pure Silver, Tectonic Blue, Daytona Grey.
The Tata Tiago is powered by a BS6 compliant 1.2-litre three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine producing 86 PS of power at 6000 RPM and 113 Nm of torque at 3300 RPM matched to a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission). The Tata Tiago measures 3765mm long, 1677mm in width and 1535mm in height with a wheelbase of 2400mm.
In terms of safety, the Tata Tiago was awarded 4-star adult safety rating by the Global NCAP and comes equipped with dual Air Bags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Corner Stability Control (CSC) & Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Rear Parking Assist and other safety features as standard making it the safest car in the segment.
Recently, Tata Motors rolled-out the 300,000th Tata Tiago hatchback from the brand’s Sanand manufacturing facility in Gujarat.
