2019 Renault Duster with 25 changes launched at INR 7.99 lakh

Renault India has launched the 2019 Duster today with 25 new features and the prices start at INR 7,99,990 ex-showroom, INR 9,99,990 ex-showroom for the petrol CVT automatic and INR 12,49,990 ex-showroom for the diesel AWD (all-wheel drive) model. This is yet another facelift that we get for the Renault Duster, which was the first car in the segment, before the sub-4 metre SUVs hit our streets.

In terms of styling, the new Duster gets a new tri-wing design grille in chrome, new dual tone front bumper with a skid plate, new projector LED headlamps with LED daytime running lamps, 16-inch Everest Diamond-cut alloy wheels, roof rails, body coloured ORVMs, matte black tailgate applique, waterfall LED taillights and two new exterior body colour options – Caspian Blue and Mahogany Brown.

On the interiors, the new Duster features midnight black interiors, blue glazed seats, a new steering wheel with soft-touch buttons, cruise control and speed limiter functions, soft-touch dashboard and door trims, and an Ice Blue Graphic instruments cluster with a multi-information display. Additionally, the Duster also gets a 17.64 cm touchscreen infotainment system with MediaNAV Evolution that integrates Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, EcoGuide and Voice recognition. The new Duster is offered with an ARKAMYS with 4 speakers and a new 2 front tweeters audio system. The mid-size SUV comes with an illuminated and cooled glove box.

In the engine department, the new Duster comes with two fuel options specification of which are as follows:-

Petrol

• 1498cc, 4-cylinder, in-line engine that produces 106 PS of power @ 5600 RPM and 142 Nm of torque @ 4000 RPM paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox or an optional CVT transmission with 6-speed manual mode.

Diesel

• 1461cc, 4-cylinder, in-line engine that comes in two states of tune, an 85 PS /  200 Nm engine and a more powerful 110 PS / 245 Nm. The former comes paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox while the later comes with a 6-speed gearbox with a manual and an optional AMT (automated manual transmission). The more powerful 110 PS iteration also comes with an AWD (all-wheel-drive system)

In terms of safety, the new Duster gets the BNCAP compliant front, side and pedestrian crash norms and is equipped with features like ABS with EBD, driver and passenger airbags, seatbelt reminder on both driver and co-driver, over-speed alert system and rear parking sensors as standard on all variants. Range-topping features include a reverse parking camera, electronic stability program, and hill-start assist.
