BMW India to support for flood-affected cars in Mumbai

Written by Nizam Shaikh

BMW India has announced that a special task force of trained and certified technicians and service advisors have been stationed at various service touchpoints to bring the flood-affected BMW vehicles back on the road. The initiative has been taken keeping in mind the various special aftersales support required for flood-hit BMW customers in Mumbai.

In addition to this, BMW India has also prioritized ordering of all spare parts, especially for the Mumbai dealership workshops to support the flood-affected vehicles and expedite the turn-around time.

BMW India is also offering a complimentary Road Side Assistance service for its customers and the brand also plans to expedite all the repairs and deliveries of affected vehicles by employing additional technical resources, service consultants and dedicated Customer Relationship Managers for keeping the customers informed on the repair status of their vehicle. Also, BMW India and the BMW authorised dealers have arranged daily visits by surveyors from both BMW partnered and non-BMW collaborated insurance companies to provide faster assessment and processing of insurance formalities.

Mumbai is being prioritized due to the concern of low-lying flood-prone areas in the city coupled with stormy weather conditions that the metro city and its surrounding areas are experiencing and BMW customers might have to face flooding problems due to the adverse weather conditions.

The company also urges its customers to be cautious while driving during heavy rains and in waterlogged areas. Customers are also urged not to try and restart an engine stalled due to water, to further avoid damages. The affected BMW customers can call BMW Roadside Assistance at 18001032211 or Customer Interaction Centre 18001022269 for assistance.
