Tata Motor Cars India introduced the Sierra EV at the Auto Expo 2023. In the biennial event, Tata Motors had revealed the Sierra EV at the Auto Expo 2021. However, at the time the Sierra EV was only a concept. While this could be the near-production version of the Sierra EV concept. The Sierra EV is also in line with the brand’s Greener Future initiative. Tata also aims to achieve net zero emission by 2040 using the Gen3 architecture. Tata also reveals that its EV contribution is likely to increase to 25 % in the next 5 years and 50 % by 2030.
Tata Sierra EV – Design Highlights
The Tata Sierra EV on display at the Auto Expo 2023 features Human Experience as its core concept. The SUV has been designed keeping in mind the Outdoorsy Lifestyle of the customer. However, the SUV also features plush and contemporary interiors. According to Tata, the Sierra EV not only features a timeless design but also well-balanced proportions. The Sierra EV through its design will emotionally connect people across generations.
The Tata Sierra EV comes with a Pure Design emphasised by the “Empowered White” body colour. The Sierra EV also features a taut body and blistered spines over the wheels. The car also gets muscular fenders enhancing the SUV’s stance. The brand also reveals that the Tata Sierra EV features Squat Proportions and Sinuous Surfacing. The SUV also comes with a full lightbar DRL on the front as well as the rear accentuating its design. Tata also reveals that the Sierra EV features a clamshell tailgate providing superior access to the rear luggage compartment.
Tata Sierra EV – Interiors
The company claims that the Sierra EV comes with roomy interiors along with layered and horizontal designs. In addition to this, the Sierra EV also comes with business-class styling and reclining seats. The SUV also features a panoramic sunroof with signature glazing. The Sierra EV also comes with a steering wheel with an illuminated logo. The car also features the latest generation of connected car technologies and uncluttered instruments.
