After successfully launching the third-generation Suzuki Hayabusa in the Indian and international market, Suzuki also updated that brand's range of motorcycles for 2022. This includes Suzuki's Big Bike profile starting from the Suzuki GSXR250R, DR-Z125L, C50 & C50T, Katana and V-Strom 1050 XT and V-Strom 1050 XT Adventure. However, the India Big Bike portfolio only consists of the V-Strom 650XT and the new Hayabusa. Updated Suzuki Bikes In the international market, Suzuki is offering the new 2022 Suzuki GSX-S1000. The motorcycle is built on the Suzuki GSX-S1000GT long-distance touring motorcycle. Along with this, the brand also launched the new Katana at the EICMA in Milan. The Suzuki V-Strom 1050XT and 1050XC Adventure also get updates to the S.I.R.S. electronic suite, which also offers a Cruise Control mode. However, the updates to the adventure machine also come with a slight increase in price. The motorcycle now retails at USD 17,049 MSRP. In addition to this, the Suzuki GSXR250R, a quarter-litre road racing machine and the DR-Z125 off-road motorcycle also get updates in terms of colour and livery. The price of the DR-Z 125 is now USD 3,399 MSRP, while the GSXR250R retails at USD 4,999 MSRP. The brand has also updated the C50 and C50T cruiser motorcycles. The V-Twin powered highway cruisers come with USD 8,609 and USD 10,059 price tags, respectively. Suzuki India Sales Updates In the Indian market, Suzuki Motorcycles is only retailing two big bikes - Hayabusa and the V-Strom 650XT. However, the brand is doing quite well in the smaller segment. Suzuki Motorcycles recorded 72,200 units for February 2022, out of which 58,603 units were sold in the domestic market and 13,597 units in exports. The sales number is despite the challenges faced by the company due to COVID-19 as well as semi-conductor availability. Reports suggest that semiconductor availability will improve in the coming months, generating more sales. Recently, Suzuki rolled out its six millionth two-wheeler from its Gurugram plant, which has been quite an achievement since the brand set foot 15 years ago in India.
