2nd batch of Suzuki Hayabusa coming to India in July 2021

In April 2021, the third-generation Suzuki Hayabusa made its debut in the Indian market. In just 48 hours of its launch, the brand sold out the entire stock of 101 motorcycles in India. Reports suggest that Suzuki Motorcycles India Private Limited (S.M.I.P.L.) will be importing another Suzuki Hayabusas to India by July or August 2021. Currently, the online booking option of the Hayabusa via the Suzuki At Your Doorstep is also closed. 

Suzuki Hayabusa Launch Price

The updated Suzuki Hayabusa comes with a lot of changes when compared to first-generation and second-generation motorcycles. But the price is still lucrative at INR 16.40 lakh ex-showroom. The second-generation model did not make it past the BS4 emission standard and came with an ex-showroom price of INR 13.75 lakh ex-showroom.

Is Suzuki Hayabusa Made in India?

Suzuki imports the Hayabusa into the country via the CKD route making its price ever-so competitive. The second-generation model also came to India via the Completely Knocked Down (CKD) route. Suzuki assembles the flagship motorcycle is at S.M.I.P.L.’s state-of-the-art production facility in Gurgaon, Haryana.

Suzuki Hayabusa Engine Specifications

Powering the Suzuki Hayabusa is a 1340cc in-line four-cylinder four-stroke engine. The engine produces 187 Hp of power and 150 Nm of torque. At the same time, the engine features the same architecture from the previous-generation model. Suzuki has wholly reworked the innards in the new-generation model.

The new Hayabusa features reprofiled intake and exhaust camshafts to reduce overlap and a new twin swirl combustion chamber. The liquid-cooled engine also comes with lighter and stiffer connecting rods and new pistons. The Hayabusa also comes with a new exhaust which is now 2 kgs more lightweight than the predecessor. The motorcycle’s chassis is also lighter by 700 grams, but the Hayabusa still weighs a hefty 264kg at the kerb.

Hayabusa Aerodynamics & Features

The brand retains the hallmark bulbous shape of the motorcycle but employs new aerodynamic techniques. The bike retains its wind-cheating abilities plus features a new body integrated air diffuser. This wraps the rider from weather elements, especially at high speeds. The motorcycle also comes with the latest generation electronics package that includes – Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.), SDMS-α riding modes, Cruise Control and Active Speed Limiter, Launch Control System, Anti-lift Control System, Hill Hold Control System, Engine Braking Control, Motion Track Traction Control and A.B.S.
