Skoda reveals refreshed Superb Sportline overseas

Skoda has officially unveiled the refreshed Superb Sportline, marking a significant update to its flagship model. This new iteration of the Superb Sportline continues the tradition of combining sporty aesthetics with practical features, making it a standout in the premium sedan segment.

Design and Exterior Features

The refreshed Superb Sportline boasts a series of design enhancements that emphasize its sporty character. Key exterior features include:

  • Gloss Black Accents: The radiator grille frame, window frames, exterior mirror caps, and elements in the front bumper are all finished in gloss black, giving the car a sleek and aggressive look.
  • Sporty Wheels: The car comes standard with 18-inch polished anthracite Vela wheels, featuring matte black aerodynamic covers. Customers can also opt for 19-inch wheels in two designs: the silver-rimmed Aniara and the all-black Torcular.
  • Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC): This optional feature enhances the driving experience by allowing the driver to adjust the suspension settings for a more comfortable or sporty ride.

Interior and Comfort

Inside, the Superb Sportline offers a blend of luxury and sportiness. The interior features include:

  • Sport Seats: The front seats come with integrated headrests, electric controls, and manually adjustable seat length. The Suedia Sport Design Selection includes seats covered in a suede-like material with heating and massage functions.
  • Premium Materials: The optional Suite Sport Design Selection offers AGR-certified ergonomic seats upholstered in a combination of leather and leatherette, adding ventilation to the massage function.
  • Sporty Details: The interior is adorned with carbon-effect decorative stripes on the dashboard and door panels, steel pedal covers, and a three-spoke sports steering wheel with black stitching and the Sportline logo.

Technology and Equipment

The Superb Sportline is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to enhance both convenience and safety:

  • Infotainment System: A 13-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10-inch digital instrument cluster with Sportline-specific graphics come standard.
  • Ambient Lighting: Adjustable ambient lighting enhances the interior atmosphere, making every drive a pleasant experience.
  • Advanced Safety Features: The car includes a range of safety features, such as matrix LED headlights and progressive steering, ensuring a safe and enjoyable drive.

The Superb Sportline will be offered with a 1.5 L turbo petrol motor that produces 150 hp and a 2.0 L turbo petrol that makes 265 hp. For the diesels, there is a 2.0 L engine produces 150 hp and another 2.0 L mill that makes 193 hp. This will be in both the sedan and estate trims.

Market Availability

The refreshed Superb Sportline is set to hit overseas markets early next year. Skoda has confirmed that this sporty trim level will be the sole offering in some regions. It is highly unlikely for this variant of the Superb to make its way to India.
