Skoda Kushaq is the most anticipated launch from the Czech Republic car manufacturer. As of now, we know quite a lot about the car in terms of exterior design, interiors, and features. But now we have the variant’s details as well. As per sources, the SUV will have three trim options, namely, Active, Ambition and Style. The SUV will come with two engine options, a 1.0-litre TSI motor and a 1.5-litre TSI motor. For the convenience of the customers, the Kushaq will have both manual and automatic gearbox options. Skoda had shown how they had integrated some Indian touches to the car in a global unveiling to make it more appealing to the customers.
Skoda Variants In Details
The feature-loaded ‘Style’ variant will have all the bells and whistles. Starting with the automatic LED headlights, a 10-inch touch infotainment system, 17-inch alloys, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, sunroof, and more. Style variant and the mid-spec ‘Ambition’ will have both engine options and gearbox options. But the ‘Active’, base trim will have one powertrain option, i.e. 1.0-litre engine with the manual gearbox. Out of all the variants on offer, we feel the ‘Style’ trim with the 7-speed automatic gearbox should be your choice. The fast-shifting DSG gearbox mated to the mighty 1.5-litre TSI motor of the VAG Group will be a joy to use.
Launch Details
Skoda Kushaq’s launch is scheduled for June 28th, and bookings will also start from this date. The SUV will enter India’s hotly contested segment, in which Hyundai’s Creta is a clear winner in terms of sales figure. After Kushaq’s launch, Volkswagen will introduce the Taigun, which will have quite a lot of resemblance with the Kushaq. Both the SUVs are based on the new MQB-A0-IN platform, which is developed specifically for the Indian market. Kushaq is the first product of the VAG Group’s India 2.0 project, and a lot will depend on how Kushaq performs in the market. We understand, with the growing demand for SUVs, Kushaq will find a healthy share of customers.
