Skoda, as part of the first anniversary of the Kushaq, has introduced a host of changes. This will make the SUV even more appealing to the masses. The Kushaq has had a very positive response from the customers. And now, with the new updates, Skoda aims to attract more customers to its base. The Skoda Kushaq, the first product under the India 2.0 project, has played an important role in the rising sales volume of the brand.
Updates And Upgrades For Kushaq
As part of the updates, customers will get a new Headliner in the cabin and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) as standard across the range. The 1.0-TSI models will now get a Start-Stop Recuperation system as standard, thus adding to the fuel efficiency. Due to this, Skoda claims an improvement in fuel efficiency of 7 to 9 per cent. On the inside, the Kushaq now benefits from an 8-inch ŠKODA Infotainment System. This system has physical knobs and buttons for select functions, thus increasing ergonomics and ease of use for the driver.
The increase in demand for Kushaq is applicable across its trims options. Thus, to enhance more options, Skoda introduced the Non-Sunroof Style variant. The new variant sits between the current Ambition and Style variants. This trim gets a 4-dial medium analogue instrument cluster and comes exclusively with the 6-speed manual transmission. With this addition, customers will get more value price-point. The top-spec Style variant with the Sunroof now features an 8-inch ŠKODA Virtual Cockpit for the driver’s instrument. Earlier, it came with analogue dials.
Same Engine And Powertrain Options
With the above additions, Skoda has retained the same powertrain options. Thus, no changes here. The SUV gets the tried and tested 1.0 TSI with the choice of a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic. And the performance-oriented 1.5 TSI EVO engine continues with the familiar 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG automatic. Kushaq is now available in 5 variants. These are, starting from ACTIVE, AMBITION, STYLE (NSR), STYLE and the recently launched KUSHAQ MONTE CARLO.
