Royal Enfield excludes Tripper navigation from Meteor 350 & Himalayan

Written by Rohit Tonapi

Royal Enfield will soon exclude one of its features from two of its models. The Tripper Navigation is well-received by its users. However, the company will now exclude it from the Meteor 350 and Himalayan. The decision comes in following the global semiconductor chip shortage worldwide.

Royal Enfield Tripper Navigation – Available as Optional Accessory

However, the company will offer the Tripper Navigation as an optional accessory. The feature was a part of the standard fitment on both models. As an optional accessory, the Tripper Navigation costs INR 5,000 MSRP. Hence, with the exclusion of the feature, the bikes will also cost less by the same amount. The global chip shortage has affected the production of its motorcycles. Hence, to optimize the availability of the feature for upcoming models, Royal Enfield is not offering it as a standard fitment.

New Colours for Meteor 350

Royal Enfield recently introduced three new colour options for the Meteor 350. With this addition, the motorcycle comes with ten colour options. The entry-level model, Fireball, gets two new colours – Fireball Blue and Fireball Matt Green. Additionally, the top-end Supernova variant gets one new colour option – Supernova Red.

Upcoming Royal Enfield Models

The company has multiple models lined up in the coming future. These include the Hunter 350, 650cc Cruiser and the highly anticipated Himalayan 450. The Himalayan 450 continues road testing, and we often see new details about the model.

The Himalayan 450 will get a ground-up redesign. The new model will get distinctive new styling and a more advanced engine. Recent spy shots of the motorcycle also showed a stubby, short exhaust end-can. There is no confirmation if the final model will sport the same exhaust. However, it will no longer have the classic Royal Enfield thump if it does. Instead, the exhaust will offer a throatier exhaust note. The upswept design of the exhaust will, however, offer increased ground clearance.
