Ola Electric has announced that the Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro electric scooters are now open for purchase. The electric scooters can be purchased exclusively using the Ola app. It is important to note that the Ola S1 and S1 Pro will not be available for purchase through the Ola website or through a physical store. The brand reiterates that the purchase process of the scooters is entirely digital.
Ola has also announced that the purchase of the electric scooters will be in batches. The company will also be prioritizing users based on their dates of reservation. The brand is also in the process of notifying customer’s about their purchase window by email, SMS and app PN. Customers will be able to buy the Ola scooter anytime after the purchase window opens. Also, customers will be able to choose the colour and variant of the Ola Scooter.
Ola Scooter – Advance Payment
Ola Electric has announced that customers can purchase Ola S1 and S1 Pro by making an advance payment of INR 20,000. The customers need not make the full amount paid at this time except for the advance payment. Customers who wish to reserve the electric scooter can also join the list by putting down the amount of INR 499 on the Ola app. Also, customers who wish to cancel their Ola scooter can do so till the scooter is shipped from the Ola Futurefactory. The company will also refund the full amount of the advance payment if the customer cancels the product before shipping.
Ola Scooter – Technical Specifications
Both the Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro come with an 8.5 kW hyperdrive electric motor. The S1 comes with a top speed of 90 kmph and 0-40 kmph in just 3.6 seconds. The bike gets a range of 121 km on a single charge. The S1 Pro can do a top speed of 115 kmph and a 0-40 kmph sprint in just 3 seconds. The S1 Pro gets a range of 181 km on a single charge.
Ola Scooter – Price
The Ola S1 comes with a price tag of INR 99,999 ex-showroom, and the S1 Pro comes with a price tag of INR 129,999 ex-showroom. The brand also offers up to 10 colours on the Ola electric scooter, depending on the model.
