Ola Electric bags the order to deliver nine customized S1 Pro scooters for the Embassy of The Netherlands. These scooters will play a part in the three diplomatic missions of The Netherlands in India. Matching the official colour of the country, which is orange, these scooters will also wear the same shade, and Ola is calling it ‘Dutch Oranje’. Alongside this, Ola will also equip the official logo of The Netherlands on the scooter.
Ola mentioned that the use of advanced manufacturing and industry 4.0 processes help them greatly to implement new changes. And they are able to customize the products as per the requirement in a very short time without any interruptions. These special scooters will arrive at the Netherlands Embassy in New Delhi and at the Consulates General in Mumbai and Bengaluru in the coming weeks, i.e. once Ola starts off with the delivery of the S1.
Bright Future For India Two-Wheeler Segment
With the growing demand for electric vehicles in the country, Ola has also decided to join the bandwagon. We are pretty sure that Ola is quite serious with the business. And this is evident from the fact that its manufacturing plant is the world’s largest scooter factory. The annual capacity of this facility is to roll out over 20 lakh scooters. India is the world’s largest two-wheeler market, and hence a lot of electric two-wheeler manufacturers are attracted to the market. In addition to this, we are also witnessing a host of home-grown brands that are coming with their innovative products.
Ola And Its Future Aspiration
S1 being the first product, Ola will get to learn a lot about customer behaviour and the market. In addition to this, the electric two-wheeler segment is a relatively new segment for the Indian automotive industry and for customers alike. And thus, it will offer a lot of new opportunities for improvement and development. Ola has been talking highly of their charging infrastructure called Hypercharge. Dubbed to become the world’s largest two-wheeler charging network, Hypercharge could become the giant leap in green mobility in the country.
