Ola claims S1 Pro delivery in 14 days

Written by Rohit Tonapi

Ola Electric recently opened up a purchase window for its S1 Pro. However, at the same time, the company also increased the prices of the S1 Pro by INR 10,000. And now, the company is rolling out a new offer to a limited number of customers. The company sent emails to the selected customers. According to Ola, the lucky few will get a guaranteed 14-day delivery for their S1 Pro electric scooter.

Ola’s Guaranteed 14 Day Delivery – Details Unknown

The mail sent to customers does not contain any further details. Hence, it is also unclear exactly when the 14-day countdown begins. Typically, the first step to purchasing an Ola S1 Pro is to reserve it by paying INR 499 online. Next, when the booking window opens, the customer can confirm their booking by paying INR 20,000. Following this, the customer can pay the balance amount. This will be closer to the delivery date of the scooter. Before the delivery, the customer also needs to pay the FAME-II subsidy amount. However, Ola refunds this amount later. During this entire process, it is unclear when the 14-day countdown begins.

The source did reach out to Ola regarding clarity on this. However, even though they got a reply, there was still no clarity. Interestingly, in the reply from Ola, the company also claims it was able to deliver scooters within 24 hours. According to Ola, this was in the latest purchase window. Another question is, what happens if the company fails to deliver the scooter within 14 days?

Limited To Select Customers In Major Cities

We found out that Ola sent these emails to certain prospective customers from major cities across India. We assume these are customers from cities where the company is confident in fulfilling its promise.

With close to 13,000 registrations in April, Ola has become the highest-selling electric two-wheeler maker in the country. This even puts it ahead of Hero Electric. The company continues to ramp up its production to meet the demand. However, while the quantity is ramping up, the quality of the scooter still remains a concern. Recently, there have been reports of the front suspension breaking of the electric scooter. If Ola wants to continue with its high sales figures, it will need to address all these issues.
