MG Motor India has announced the introduction of a brand new interior colour to the 2022 ZS EV’s Exclusive variant. Now, in addition to the Single-Tone Dark Grey interior, the Exclusive variant of the all-new ZS EV will also be available with a Dual-Tone Iconic Ivory interior.
In addition to this, MG Motor India has also commenced bookings for the electric SUV’s Excite variant from today, i.e. 3rd October 2022. When MG Motor India launched the all-new ZS EV in the Indian market, the brand announced there would be two variants on offer – Excite and Exclusive. However, until now, only the Exclusive variant was available for purchase, not the base Excite variant.
Thus, with the new variant and its lower pricing, MG’s all-electric SUV will find many more takers. Additionally, customers opting for the Exclusive variant will also get an option to choose the new dual-tone interior.
2022 MG ZS EV – Variants & Pricing
The all-new MG ZS EV is available in 2 variants – Excite & Exclusive. Now, with the addition of the new interior colour, the Exclusive variant is further divided into two sub-variants – Dark Grey & Dual-Tone Iconic Ivory.
Pricing for the all-new ZS EV starts at INR 22,58,000 for the Excite variant. The Exclusive variant with Dark Grey interior retails for INR 26,49,800 ex-showroom. Meanwhile, the new Exclusive variant with Dual-Tone Iconic Ivory interior costs INR 26,59,800. Thus, making it INR 10,000 more expensive than the single-tone Dark Grey interior.
2022 MG ZS EV – Highlights
The Excite variant of the all-new ZS EV comes loaded with features. MG claims it offers customers a power-packed electric mobility experience with more than 75 connected features. Additionally, it also boasts of the largest-in-segment battery capacity of 50.3 kWh. The battery pack also comes with globally certified quality.
The 2022 ZS EV puts out 176 PS of power and 280 Nm of peak torque. MG claims the ZS EV offers up to 461 km of range in a single charge, as per the ICAT certification. The ZS EV also supports up to 50 kW DC fast charging for those quick charges. Using this, it can charge o to 80% in just 60 minutes. Meanwhile, using a 7.4 kWh charger, it takes the ZS EV 8.5 to 9 hours to charge from 0 to 100%.
