Written by Akhil Dalvi

Renowned British manufacturer MG Motors has announced its partnership with Attero to focus on the sustainable EV economy in India. The partnership will involve recycling MG’s batteries and extracting metal extracts and other commodities to produce new batteries. To accentuate and promote clean and green mobility, MG Motor India has successfully started a new initiative for the environment. The cutting-edge technology used by both companies will help retrieve metals such as Copper, Lithium, and Cobalt.

Under the #ChangeWhatYouCan campaign, the automaker’s recent partnership will encourage people to make a difference and strengthen the EV ecosystem. MG Motor India states that since battery waste is a challenge for sustainable mobility, it aims to introduce battery recycling. The partnership is also another step towards the ‘Atmanirbhar’ vision of India, whereby the process will procure precious metals. MG Motor India and Attero Recycling will work together to reuse and recycle lithium-ion batteries of the MG ZS EV.
