The latest spy shots of the upcoming Majestor SUV have emerged from New Delhi, where the SUV was seen pottering around the city without any camouflage. Interestingly, the car also had a TC plate, suggesting that it had been temporarily registered by the company.

MG showcased the Majestor at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 earlier this year. While the critical details like the cabin, features, and engine specs were not revealed, its exterior design was showcased to the public for the first time.

The spotted car has the same design as the display car, with a connected light at the rear and a new bumper and boot design. Moreover, the Majestor’s front fascia also features a heavily revised design, including a new grille, new vertical LED lights, and a more muscular appeal.

The previous spy shots of its cabin show that it will feature a revamped dashboard and cabin design. Its centre console has been redesigned, while the door pads and seats have been revised for better comfort.

Meanwhile, the powertrain on the Majestor is likely to remain the same as on the Gloster. The 2.0-litre, bi-turbo diesel engine is a perfect fit for the SUV of this size. It will come mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and a 4×4 drivetrain, similar to the Gloster.

In terms of safety, the Majestor is likely to offer more ADAS features and a reworked chassis with high-strength material construction.

Our verdict

Although MG has not spoken a word about the launch timeline of the Majestor in India, we can safely assume by analysing the production-spec car that it will debut in the coming months. With a revamped design and cabin, its pricing will be higher than the Gloster’s.
