Mercedes-Benz has revealed two new versions of the G 400d in India. The SUV will be available in AMG Line and Adventure Edition guises. Price of the performance SUV starts at INR 2.55 crore, ex-showroom. The booking amount is set at INR 1.5 lakh.

The G-wagen or the G-class is an iconic model range. Over the years it has gained popularity both on the road as well as off the road. Since the beginning, it has retained its boxy shape and received updates across the years.
The G 400d AMG Line gets features like 20-inch alloy wheels, sunroof, ambient interior lighting and more. On the inside, the SUV comes with Nappa leather seats along with a Burmester surround sound system.
Meanwhile, the G 400d Adventure Edition is an India-specific model. It gets exterior kit like a roof rack, an extra spare rim holder and a full-size spare wheel to name a few. Other features of the Adventure Edition include logo projector, multifunction steering wheel and Nappa leather interior. Mercedes is offering four unique colour options on this Edition. These include Desert Sand non-metallic, Vintage Blue non-metallic, Travertine Beige metallic and South Seas Blue metallic.
Powertrain details of the Mercedes-Benz G 400d
The G 400d comes with a turbo charged 6-cylinder diesel engine. This motor develops 326 BHP @ 3,600-4,200 rpm and a peak torque of 700 Nm @ 1,200-3,200 rpm. Mercedes also offers a four-wheel-drive system on the G 400d along with a low range transfer case. According to the German carmaker, the G 400d will do a 0-100 km/h sprint in 6.4 seconds with a top speed of 210 km/h.
Delivery timeline of the Mercedes-Benz G 400d
According to the company, we can expect deliveries of the G 400d to start from the early fourth quarter of 2023.
