Hyundai Alcazar facelift to arrive during festive season in 2024

Written by Nizam Shaikh

Hyundai in the recent past introduced the heavily updated Creta in the Indian market. And what follows the Creta?, of course the Alcazar. The brand is likely to launch the three-row variant of the Alcazar soon in India and we were of the opinion that the three-row SUV will arrive by the middle of 2024.

However, new reports suggest that the launch has been delayed by a few months. According to media reports, the new Alcazar is likely to arrive by September or October 2024 which is the festive season. The festive season will help the brand get added traction in terms of sales as the buying sentiments are high.

Hyundai Alcazar – Delay Resons

Media reports suggest that the delays are due to the existing stock that is still available in the company. The company retails around 10,000 units of the Creta per month, and in comparison only 1,500 units of the Alcazar are sold per month. This also leads us to believe that the brand is likely to clear the existing stock with a discount price plus with a low waiting period than the Creta.

Hyundai Alcazar – Differentiating Features

The new Alcazar is likely to come with differentiating changes on its exteriors. Expect a new grille and reworked headlamp setup. The Alcazar is also likely to come with connected tail-lamps, positioned horizontally. However, subtle changes to the taillamp configuration is expected. The new Alcazar is also likely to come with changes to the interiors. This is likely to include a new dashboard and various add-on features. The Alcazar is also likely to come with a new connected-screen layout. In addition to this, the 3-row SUV is also likely to come with a 6-seat or 7-seat configuration with captain seats. Also, expect the new Alcazar to come with Level 2 ADAS features.
