New Bajaj motorcycle spotted. What could it be?

Written by Nizam Shaikh

A couple of days ago Bajaj launched the new Pulsar NS400Z in the Indian market. And now, the brand is aleady testing another new motorcycle which is likely to be launched soon. The motorcycle in the spy shots appears to be an adventure bike, owing to its seat, tank and front fascia. However, the engine of the bike appears to be either a 125cc or a 150cc motor. This leads us to believe that the new bike not be positioned in the premium mid-segment, but could be a small capacity motorcycle designed for comfort and mild trails.

New Bajaj Motorcycle – Spy Shots

According to the spy shots, the new Bajaj motorcycle features a beak design on the headlamp. In addition to this, the motorcycle also comes with a scooped seat which ends far into the fuel tank. This is typical of ADV motorcycles and long distance touring motorcycles. However, the spy shot of the engine reveals that the test mule has an air-cooled motor.

It is all unclear in the spy shots that if the engine has a twin spark or a single spark plug. But the taillamp signature leads us to believe that the motorcycle could be from the Pulsar range. The tyre hugger also appears to be from the Pulsar range. Also, the new Bajaj motorcycle could get champagne gold finish upside down front suspension and a monoshock on the rear.

Bajaj Motorcycle For Abroad?

The brand has carefully camouflaged the test mule of the bike, so that much is not revealed at this stage. But the bike appears to have been registered in Maharashtra, which has the brand’s manufacturing facility. Also, Bajaj manufactures and retails low-capacity in the international market and has quite a presence in Latin America and Africa where the demand for rugged low capacity motorcycles may be high and this could only be a test product under road test closer to home.
