Maruti Suzuki has updated the Brezza with new features. The car now comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the SmartPlay Pro+ Infotainment System. The good news is that these updates can be downloaded over-the-air (OTA) through the smartphone app or the website.
Much needed infotainment update
The existing infotainment system had both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, however, it was wired. This new update will bring out wireless connectivity to the system which will enhance user experience. Apart from the wireless connectivity, turn-by-turn updates are now visible on the Head-Up display as well.
Other features like the 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system, ARKAMYS premium sound system with Surround Sense, OTA updates, onboard voice assistance, MID with TFT colour display, wireless charging, type A and C USB charging at the back, and more continue to be offered on the car.
About Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza
The Brezza was refreshed back in June 2022. Since then the car maker has received over 1.9 lakh bookings for the compact SUV. The car is known for its exterior design and the commanding SUV stance.
The Brezza is powered by a K15C Smart Hybrid 1.5-litre petrol engine. The engine produces 102 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 136.8 Nm @ 4,400 rpm. Transmission duties would be handled by a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
In terms of safety, the car gets a head-up display, 360-degree camera, front, side and curtain airbags, electronic stability program (ESP), hill hold assist, rearview camera, reverse parking sensor and an anti-theft security alarm.
In other news, the carmaker is also considering a CNG variant of the Vitara Brezza. With rising fuel prices, buyers are opting for CNG variants of popular cars. Further, with no diesel option on the cards, CNG is a viable alternative for select customers who have a higher usage. It is also possible that the carmaker could offer an automatic option on the CNG variants.
