Mappls (MapmyIndia, “C.E. Infosystems”), a digital mapping, geospatial software and location-based IoT deep-tech company, will now provide the location services to Maruti Suzuki cars. Using this tech, customers of Maruti Suzuki can now experience hassle-free in-car navigation all over India.
Features Of Mappls NaviMap
The carmaker will use NaviMap, powered by Mappls integrated into Suzuki Smartplay Studio Infotainment System and Connect Mobile App. NaviMaps claims to use advanced routing algorithms that are integrated with accurate and high-precision 3D maps. Thus, this will ensure a better, safer and innovative approach to in-car navigation. Users can browse a map on the dashboard screen; search for places by house number, pin code, or Mappls Pin (6-digital short code). Furthermore, users can also browse through a preset list of points of interest (POI) in the vicinity; get speed alerts, traffic signs and junction views, and get up to three alternative routes to the destination.
Maruti Suzuki will also offer 5 years of free map updates, live traffic information, the ability to update over-the-air (OTA), and free activation of premium NaviMaps features. Leveraging Connect, an Android/iOS smartphone app for Maruti Suzuki’ smart’ cars, customers can track their four-wheelers remotely. This app also gets support from Mappls. Thus, it lets users view vehicle location, receive alerts when a car enters or leaves a predefined area (geofencing), and intuitively share trip statistics with contacts.
With this Connect mobile application, users are better informed about their vehicle’s whereabouts. Starting from driving analytics reports, roadside assistance, and even access features via a smartwatch, all done via this application. Thus, to sum up, Maps provides convenience, connectivity, a time-saving navigation experience and security features for peace of mind.
