Austrian two-wheeler manufacturer KTM has announced that it has sold 1,000 units of its 390 adventure motorcycle in Bangalore. KTM introduced the 390 adventure motorcycle for the Indian market in 2020 and has witnessed a significant increase in demand. KTM has designed the 390 Adventure for riders who are enthusiastic about travelling and also for easy city commutes. KTM entered the Indian market in 2012 and has amassed a presence in 365 cities with its 460 stores.
KTM India states that Bangalore has become the first city in India to achieve the 1,000 unit sales mark. KTM India has also announced that Mr. Chakravarthy has officially become the 1000th owner of a 390 Adventure in Bangalore. Over the years, the brand has launched numerous initiatives under its KTM Pro-XP program for KTM Adventure owners. These initiatives involve training KTM Adventure owners with the help of experts to explore terrains and reach unique destinations.
2022 KTM 390 Adventure: Design HighlightsÂ
For the recently launched 390 Adventure, KTM has introduced two new colour schemes- a Blue tank with orange side panels. Meanwhile, the second colour consists of a dual-tone combination of black and grey with orange accents on the fuel tank. The 2022 KTM 390 Adventure also showcases refreshed graphics on the cowling and front fender, along with black knuckle guards. Additionally, the 2022 390 Adventure gets new 5-spoke double split alloy wheels- 19-inch at the front and 17-inch at the rear.
2022 KTM 390 Adventure: Technical Specs Highlights
Powering the new 390 Adventure is a BS6 compliant, 373cc, single-cylinder DOHC motor which produces 43 PS and 37 Nm. KTM has equipped the engine with DLC-coated pistons and Nikasil-coated wet aluminium liners to reduce friction among parts. Along with a 6-speed manual gearbox, the bike also sports a slipper and assist clutch with a quickshifter.
Focussing on comfort and handling, the 390 Adventure features 43mm, WP Apex front suspension and a preload-adjustable WP Apex rear monoshock. For braking performance, the bike sports a single 320mm, front disc with a 4-piston, radially-mounted calliper, and Bosch 2-channel ABS. The bike also sports a single 230mm disc with a cornering function along with LED lighting and a 14-litre fuel tank.
