Soon after BMW Motorrad started accepting bookings for the BMW G 310 GS, KTM jumped the gun and officially announced that the 390 Adventure is coming to India very soon, and is in final stages of testing. However, currently, the testing process is happening on streets abroad, and not a single motorcycle has been spotted here in our country.
The KTM 390 Adventure as seen in these spyshots looks to be in the production-ready form. Everything looks purpose built, and ready to hit the roads. It is expected that KTM will reveal the 390 Adventure at the EICMA show later this year, or may be at INTERMOT. Sharing quite a few components with the 390 Duke, the KTM 390 Adventure still looks way different thanks to its Adventure Touring nature.
Here’s a list of changes which one can observe from the spyshots:
- New long travel front suspension
- Spoked rims
- Upswept & high mounted exhaust
- All-new body panels
- Aero-fins on either side of the headlamp
- Front fork protectors
- Longer seats
- Small front fly screen
- New LED tail lamp
- New tail fender
- New headlamp fairing
- Handlebar higher than the Duke
- Tyres suitable for on-road & off-road performance
- Larger front rim size
What seems to be carried over from the current 390 Duke includes the TFT digital instrument console, the LED headlamp & knuckle guards.
Powering the motorcycle will obviously be the 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke petrol motor which produces 43 BHP of power and 37 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.
Are you excited? Do you like what you see? Expect orange + black + white livery on the model, as seen on bigger KTM Adventure models.
