Kia confirms Syros compact SUV official debut 19th December 2024

Kia’s new compact SUV, Syros is about to launch in India. Kia is representing Syros as a new species of SUV and is meant to have an official unveiling in the last month of the year 2024; that is on December 19. Kia hit the Indian market in 2019 and currently has the Kia Sonet; which stands among the Sub-compact SUV segment and the Kia Seltos; which stands among Compact SUVs and the Syros is going to be placed between them.

Kia Syros SUV powertrain: 

Syros is likely to come in two engine options: petrol and diesel. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine generates a power of 118 bhp and a torque of 172 Nm. It is mated to a six-speed iMT gearbox and a seven-speed dual-clutch AT unit. The other engine variant would be a 1-litre diesel engine. It will have a 6-speed manual and a six-speed torque converter Automatic gearbox.

Design:

Kia is planning to design Syros SUV under its Kia 2.0 strategy, which will feature its 2.0 Design philosophy. It seems that it has a unique shape and the front of Syros is inspired by Kia’s EV9; which was earlier launched in 2024. Further, it will also embody RV-inspired design which can be seen on Kia Caren.

Kia Syros features:

In the recent teaser showcased by Kia, it seems that Syros will have a flat bottom, TFT display, panoramic sunroof, touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charger, 360 camera, automatic climate control and seat ventilation. Further, it will also have LED headlamps, LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), L-shaped LED taillights, flush-fitting door handles, blacked-out C-pillars and roof rails
